Wholelife is a specialist day centre based in North Devon providing placements for students with learning disabilities. The centre is based on a small holding on the outskirts of Barnstaple, near Ashford, situated close to the Tarka trial in the North Devon countryside. The clients attend the farm on a day placement basis. They each work on a bespoke placement plan which is tailored to meet their individual needs
Wholelife is a working farm growing organic vegetables and rearing organic livestock. The clients are involved in every aspect of the farm from feeding the animals and growing the vegetables to helping to sell the produce at the farm shop and farmers market. This will help clients to understand the cycle of the production of food from initial growth to retail outlets. The centre also provides tailored craft courses such as green wood workshop, basket making and pottery
